About Us
Abby Maxwell
Abby grew up in Newport, RI, as the youngest of eleven children in a lively, musical family. She studied musical theater at Boston University and San Diego State, setting the stage for her dynamic career in music.
She toured across the US, Canada, and Jamaica with the vocal group Sisters of Soul before heading to Chicago, where she collaborated with top-tier R&B, jazz, and alternative artists. Eventually, Abby landed in Albuquerque, NM—also known as the Duke City—where she formed her own bands, Downbeat and Abby Q and the Dukes.
In 2010, she became the featured vocalist for Los Radiators and co-founded SWAG. Alongside her vibrant musical life, Abby works for the UNM Medical Group and leads the worship team at her church, blending her passion for music with her commitment to community.
